Editing the Final Product Blog

Image
This is my final blog on my film. This is all about the overall editing I have done all the film. The whole process felt like one long adventure to me. So, I started to finish editing my first two scenes. I had to fix the spelling error I made of the title of the studio. I ended up doing all of the titles last in the editing process. I made this decision just because it was easier for me in general. Then, I also needed to add a blue background name with the title of the movie which is "Ruby" this fades in. There is music that I edited in that is playing. It is in the background the character can not hear it. On one part in scene 1, there is where I lower the background music. So, that the audience can hear that Ruby the main character is listening to music. Then in scene 2 when the other character is walking up to Ruby I made background music get lower. Then after that happens the audience starts to hear the sound of music coming from Ruby's headphones and the dialogue of

Editing the Intro Scenes Blog

This is my editing blog about the intro and text for my film. I did finishing all of the filmings for my film. I am happy that I got to finish all of my filmings. The whole filming process was long for me. It was also really adventurous for me also. Now that I have finished filming everything. I have started the editing process. Today, I started doing the titles for the intro scenes. I am using the iMovie app to edit everything. I am used to this app because I know how to work it. Not only that, it is free to my use and it is not difficult to use. I first start off with adding the text for the title of the name of the studio. The color of the is going to be white. The white is going to stand out more during the scenes. For all the letters of the titles, I had to make sure that I remember to capitalize the letters. I believe that overall this going to help the titles stand out more. I do not want to fully blend in with the scenes to the point the audience is not going to notice it. I

Reshooting the Scenes Blog

Image
This blog is about me reshooting some of the scenes in my film. When I overlooking the scenes again on my phone. One tiny problem that I realize was the lighting of the scene. I did not really like the lighting of the scenes. For me, the lighting was kind of dark. I did a film in the evening so the sun was kind of going down a bit. I was using natural lighting which would be the sunlight. That was coming from the sun. So, now I know to film earlier in the afternoon or even in the morning. One other problem that I had was in one of the scenes. I accidentally got a shot of someone that did not belong in my film. I didn't realize the error until I took a closer look at the scene. So, I knew I had to reshoot that scene because of that error. I knew that I could edit it out because it was in the scene the whole entire time. The whole process did not really take a long time. I already knew how I wanted to film it. Also, I knew how to do an establishing shot.  The other scene that I got

Getting the Shots Blog

Image
This is blog is about filming the shots of the other actor. Over the weekend, the other actor was not so busy. So, this was a perfect opportunity for me to film the scenes that she is in. I did not get to film all of them. Most of them I know I have to refilm them. It was not a difficult process for me. One of the scenes that I had filmed was the one where I was outside. Then the other actor comes out and the dialogue. This process was somewhat difficult. Especially getting the shots rights. I did not want to have to do it too many times again. Then there was the part where I had to kneel down a bit. So, I could get the shot where the actor is coming to me. I wanted to perfect it to the point where that it would not look like someone holding a camera. I had to make sure I was holding correctly. I needed to make I was getting the low angle correctly. Then there was the over-the-shoulder shot I had to do. This shot was easy for me. It was not that difficult at all. There is where I nee

Production of Film on Hold Blog

Hello, this blog is about how I had to take a pause with the filming of my film. For these past couple of days, I had this annoying headache. This headache would not go away. This prevented me from continuing to film. I am disappointed because this does set me back. I do feel a whole lot better today. I might start to continue to film tomorrow because there is no school tomorrow. So, I pretty much have a free day to myself. And, I might feel a whole lot better than I feel now. Not only that, this puts back my other actor's schedule. So, now I have to work out a whole new schedule for my film. Since my other actor is going to be busy studying for her exams. I am also going to try to film over on the weekend. For me, filming does require a lot of time. I just want to make sure that everything is close to perfect. I was going to film even though I had a headache. But I knew that I would not able to produce the best outcome. I did take time just to go over everything to make there we
